During the third quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five news and magazines applications in Hungary showcased diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app performed:

Hírstart - hírek és időjárás experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning at around 1K and dropping to approximately 474 by the end of September. Despite zero revenue throughout the quarter, the app maintained a consistent user base.

Twitter Lite from X Corp. saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at roughly $695 in the week of September 18. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 3K to 4K, with a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter. Active users decreased from about 322K to 294K over the period.
